Standards & Expectations
- Old age is not an affliction but is an accomplishment; it should
be treated with dignity and respect.
- To not discriminate against any client or related family member
based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.
- To keep all information about clients and their family members
in the highest of confidence except where prohibited by law.
- To not use my relationship with my clients or their family members
to further my own interests.
- To not abandon or neglect clients in my care; but rather to assist
them and their family in securing other, appropriate referrals.
- To treat all clients and their family members as individuals
and allow them the opportunity of expressing their free will, to
the extent permitted by their capacity.
- To treat all clients with the dignity and respect they deserve
as people.
- To ensure the physical, mental and emotional safety of all clients
and their family embers and to take appropriate actions as needed
to expose and correct illegal and unethical practices in accordance
with the law.
- To maintain my licensure or certification as prescribed by my
state laws and to notify the Board of any changes or actions regarding
by licensure or certification.
- To provide service in a manner that is consistent with the rules
and laws governing my licensure and certification and to not exceed
that authority which has been bestowed upon me by my licensing
and certification boards. This includes willful misrepresentation
of my credentials and abilities.
I agree to abide by and uphold the Standards
and Expectations,
